ข้อมูลพื้นฐาน
"Pokémon Diamond and Pearl" (Japanese: ポケットモンスター ダイヤモンド・パール) is a role-playing game developed by GAME FREAK and released by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo DS.
This work is divided into two versions: "Diamond" and "Pearl". The cover Pokémon are Dialga and Palkia in order. The content of the two versions is basically the same as that of past works. The main differences lie in the appearance of Pokémon, the probability of its appearance, and the description text of the Pokémon illustrated book.
This game is set in the Sinnoh region, and includes many new Pokémon and new evolved types of existing Pokémon. Like the previous game, you can choose the male protagonist or the female protagonist to play the game, and the other unselected protagonist will become the doctor's assistant. No matter which protagonist you choose, the player will become a strong enemy with Ah Shun. In addition, a new enemy organization "Galaxy Team" appears this time.
For the first time, this game introduces simple 3D effects into some maps, and adds simple three-dimensional modeling and special effects to some cutscenes. However, the characters and Pokémon in the game are still flat bitmaps.
A new system of "underground passages" has been added to the game, and combined with the secret base function of the previous game, activities such as arranging or digging various props can be carried out.
This game can be connected to the Internet through Nintendo Wi-Fi connection, or locally through the wireless connection function of Nintendo DS.
The day and night system that appeared in "Pokémon Gold and Silver" also returns in this game, and the time function uses the built-in clock of the Nintendo DS. Solved the problem that the previous game used a cassette battery, causing the clock function to stop when the battery was out of power.
A total of 493 Pokémon appear in this game, with 107 additional Pokémon added. Like previous works, the Pokémon that can be caught in the two versions of "Pokémon Diamond and Pearl" are different. In addition to the Pokémon on the game cover (Dialga, Palkia), there are also some wild Pokémon that can only be caught in designated versions.
In the early stages of the game, players can only use the "Sinnoh Regional Illustrated Book" provided by the doctor to investigate 151 Pokémon. After clearing the level and completing the Sinnoh Regional Illustrated Book (150 except for Manaphy), players can view all Pokémon through the national illustrated book given by the doctor.
In addition, until the previous game, the level of Pokémon hatched from eggs was Lv.5, but starting from this game, the level has been changed to Lv.1. It is also the first Pokémon to appear at Level 1 in this series.
The difference between the types of attack skills (physical, special) in this game is based on the characteristics of each skill itself, instead of using attributes to determine physical attacks and special attacks in the past.
Trainers controlled by computers have also improved to a certain extent. In addition to the use of props, they will also use some tactics that take advantage of Pokémon's characteristics. It is also possible to encounter two wild Pokémon at the same time during battle.
