Adaptability

Generation of first appearance Generation IV

Powers up moves of the same type as the Pokémon.

Adaptability increases the effectiveness of STAB moves from the usual 1.5× to 2×.

For example, a Water-type Pokémon using Surf (base power 90) would normally get an effective power of 135, but with Adaptability, it becomes 180.
