The Pokémon copies the Ability of a defeated ally.

A Pokémon with Receiver will inherit the ability of a teammate in a double or triple battle when that teammate faints.

Abilities that activate upon entering the field, like Intimidate, will activate when the Pokémon with Receiver inherits them.
