Effect

Magma Armor prevents the Pokémon from becoming frozen, such as from moves like Blizzard.

Outside of battle

If a Pokémon with Magma Armor (or Flame Body or Steam Engine) is in the party with a Pokémon Egg, the number of steps required to hatch the egg is halved.
