With the introduction of Gold Bottle Caps and Silver Bottle Caps in Pokémon GO, Trainers can now improve a Pokémon's Individual Values (IVs), making it possible to maximize the stats of their favorite Pokémon.
However, using a Bottle Cap does not instantly increase a Pokémon's IVs. Instead, you'll need to complete a series of Hyper Training tasks for the selected stat. Each completed task increases the chosen stat by 1 IV point, unlocking the next stage of training. By completing every task, that stat can eventually be raised to the maximum value of 15 IV.
It's important to note that Gold Bottle Caps and Silver Bottle Caps share the exact same Hyper Training tasks. The difference lies in how many stats they can improve. A Gold Bottle Cap allows you to train Attack, Defense, and HP simultaneously, while a Silver Bottle Cap can be used to train only one selected stat. As a result, raising all three stats to 15 IV requires three Silver Bottle Caps.
Each stat features a different set of objectives. Attack Training focuses primarily on battles, Defense Training emphasizes Buddy interactions and catching Pokémon, while HP Training centers around exploration, walking, and other everyday gameplay activities. Below is a complete list of the currently known Hyper Training tasks for each category.
