Disguise allows the bearer to avoid damage from one attack, similar to Substitute. After the first hit, the Pokémon's disguise breaks, changing its appearance. Starting from Generation VIII, breaking the disguise also reduces the Pokémon's HP by 1/8 of its maximum HP.
