Lightning Rod forces all single-target Electric-type moves used by other Pokémon on the field to target the ability-bearer with 100% accuracy, including status moves like Thunder Wave. This ability is particularly useful in double and triple battles.
When hit by an Electric-type move, it deals no damage and raises the Special Attack of the ability-bearer by one stage. Stats can be raised up to a maximum of +6 stages each.
Lightning Rod will activate for an Electric-type Hidden Power but not for Electric-type Judgment. It can be overridden by moves like Follow Me or Rage Powder that make another Pokémon the center of attention.
